Veggie Turkey Meatballs

These Turkey meatballs are used to get those key veggies/berries into a pup that says "I won't eat blueberries"!  Or other key veggies...

I used beets (good for the heart), celery, blueberries, Brussels sprouts, and applesauce.  You can use any combo of veggies/berries...

Veggie Turkey Meatballs

Ingredients

  • 1 lb 99/1% ground Turkey
  • 2 small Brussels sprouts (cooked) cut off bottom
  • 1/2 stalk celery
  • 1/8 cup cooked diced beets
  • 1/8 cup thawed frozen blueberries
  • 1/4 cup organic 100% applesauce
Instructions
  • Puree cooked Brussels sprouts, cooked beets, celery, and applesauce (applesauce will help it puree smooth)
  • Mix pureed veggies with ground turkey

  • Preheat oven to 350 and cover baking sheet with parchment paper
  • Make meatballs to whatever size will work best for your pup...I made very small ones for Bella (she's a 10 lb chiweenie) and they are also a good size for a small treat for Daisy Jane
  • Bake meatballs for approximately 30 mins (time will vary depending on size of the meatballs) until the turkey is cooked
  • Once cooked remove from oven and cool before transferring to storage containers
  • These meatballs should last 3-4 days in the fridge, freeze the remaining for up to 6 months
